Arne Slot has warned incoming goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili that he won't be joining as the automatic No.1 at Liverpool following Alisson Becker's outstanding performance at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
Alisson turned in a superb display in the French capital.
The Brazilian made nine saves in total as Harvey Elliott's late winner gave the visitors a first-leg lead in a match that saw PSG dominate in the Champions League last-16 tie.
Alisson claimed after the game that it was a career-best performance at the Parc des Princes, with Slot proclaiming the keeper as the world's best following the display.

And the Reds has now told Georgia international Mamardashvili to expect huge competition next season when he arrives in a £29m deal from Valencia later this year.
"I think he is at Valencia and they are in just as important a phase of the season as we are in, so it wouldn’t be smart for me to talk about a player that maybe belongs to us but is in such an important part of the season at Valencia," Slot said.

"But in general I can say if you want to play for Liverpool, you have to accept that there is competition.
"That is not only Liverpool but that is in every Premier League club at the moment because of all the money that is in this league but in Liverpool if you don’t want to face competition then it is not the best place to go to."
The Reds return to action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Southampton with the chance to go 16 points clear of second-placed Arsenal ahead of their visit to Manchester United the following day.
