Arne Slot has admitted Mohamed Salah is making life look very easy at Liverpool after the Egyptian helped fire the Reds to a 2-0 victory away at Man City on Sunday.

The forward opened the corner from a smart corner-kick routine, before assisting Dominik Szoboszlai to wrap up the victory.

The 32-year-old now has 30 goals and 21 assists in all competitions so far this season from just 38 appearances.



Meanwhile, he is leading the way for both the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Playmaker awards with 25 goals and 16 assists.

Salah remains out of contract at the end of the season, but is showing no signs of slowing down as his astonishing campaign continues.

While Slot conceded Liverpool were limited in being able to unleash Salah in dangerous positions against Man City, the in-form forward still remained a constant threat against Pep Guardiola’s side.

“The numbers speak for themselves,” he said.

That probably tells you even more the quality player he is, as it’s not so easy for an attacker if he has to defend, defend, defend and then gets the ball and does something special.

“That’s sometimes difficult.

At the moment not many things seem difficult for Mo.”

Salah has publicly admitted more than once he is determined to win a second Premier League title this season, having been denied a chance to celebrate with supporters due to the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

But while the Egyptian is one of another of players at Anfield looking to become an English champion again, Slot pointed out the rest of his squad are also hungry to claim a first Premier League title after Liverpool’s latest victory sent them 11 points clear at the top of the table.

“If you ask I would hope the ones that haven’t won it yet, that you call not the big ones, that they would want to win something this season as well,” he said.

This league has always gone to the end except from the season Liverpool won it with a 25-point gap or something.

“The boys have worked every single day really hard to be where they are now and I hope and assume they will keep doing that for three more months and let’s see where we are then.”
