Arne Slot sent Liverpool's misfiring striker Darwin Nunez a pointed message in his pre-Manchester City press conference.
Nunez had only been on the pitch a couple of minutes during Wednesday night's 2-2 draw at Aston Villa when he raced onto Dominik Szoboszlai's pass across the face of goal and skied the ball into the stands.
And Slot believes the £85m striker "got too much in his head" after the miss and admitted "he wasn't the usual Darwin that works his backside off."
Slot said: "I can accept every miss, especially from a player who scored 2 very important goals v Brentford.
It's not about the chance, it is the 20 mins after it I want to talk to Darwin about."
Liverpool were forced to settle for a point in Birmingham as they missed the chance to go 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

“What we must not do and we’ve done a bit too often now, is we don’t get what we deserve.
