Liverpool were without Gakpo for the Wolves game at the weekend after the Dutch star picked up an injury against Everton last Wednesday night at Goodison Park.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday morning, Slot revealed that Gakpo will miss the Aston Villa clash, although the Dutch star will be back soon.
This is a major blow for the centre-back as the English star would have wanted to have played his part in Liverpool’s charge for the Premier League title, now the 27-year-old may only have a few more games in a red shirt.
