Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has praised the job that his Everton counterpart David Moyes has done in his short time back at Goodison Park so far.
So too were midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones with a post-match melee caused by the former celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans shortly after James Tarkowski's late equalizer.
"Of course we would've loved to go nine points up, that would've been probably better than seven — not probably, that would've been better than seven!" Slot said during his press conference on Friday.
"But I have to give credit to David Moyes as well.
We were mentally much stronger than last season, we went 1-0 down and came back by leading the game until 97 minutes with 2-1."

Moyes was also full of praise for Liverpool boss Slot.
"I actually feel a little bit for Slot," Moyes said during his own press conference yesterday ahead of facing Crystal Palace.
