Liverpool are set to go head-to-head with Bayern Munich in the race to sign Bournemouth's young star, Dean Huijsen.
His centre-back partner, Ibrahima Konate, also has an uncertain future, with his current contract due to expire in 2026.
Huijsen, who moved from Juventus to Bournemouth last summer for £12.6million, has quickly become one of Europe's most sought-after young defenders.
He made his debut for Spain last month, despite being born in the Netherlands.

Bournemouth are prepared for bids, and it's widely known that there's a £50million release clause in his contract.
Liverpool, along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham, have all reportedly been in touch with Huijsen's representatives about a possible move.
They've also thrown their hat into the ring for Huijsen, joining several other clubs hoping to secure his signature.
