Former Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal speaking exclusively to Empire of the Kop made a case for Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley.

Vignal has urged Arne Slot to put his faith in the 21-year-old right-back if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves this summer.

For Alexander-Arnold, just like we exclusively revealed, there are a couple of factors that could affect the eventual outcome, but the biggest one remains the competitiveness of the team.

Speaking about Bradley, the former Liverpool man said, “Give him a chance.

Why not?”

However, while he believes Bradley deserves an opportunity, Vignal also suggests that Liverpool should bring in an experienced player to support him.

He explained: “I will give him [Bradley] a chance, but I will need maybe someone who knows the high level, someone who’s already won something and understands what it means to be at the top level week in and week out, even to help him because he’s still young and still learning.”

Bradley has proven himself whenever called upon, but injuries have limited his chances.

With Alexander-Arnold’s future uncertain, the Northern Ireland international might soon get a shot at making the right-back position his own.
