Liverpool are set for a big summer transfer window with the Reds likely to go into the off-season as Premier League champions.

Arne Slot’s side have opened up a commanding lead in the title race over second-place Arsenal with Liverpool currently 13 points clear of the north London side with ten games left to go in the Premier League season.

With Mohamed Salah tipped to win the Ballon d’Or by Theo Walcott, Liverpool’s star players have reached a whole new level this season under Slot, a feat that has been made that more impressive given that only Federico Cheisa was brought in last summer via the transfer market.

Yet things are likely to be different this year, and Liverpool have now been pointed towards a player who could be ideal for the Anfield side in the summer transfer window as Slot looks to add to his world-class squad.

Speaking to Africafoot, former Cameroon international Bernard Tchoutang shares how Liverpool would be a perfect next club for Brighton & Hove Albion star Carlo Baleba, who this season has been impressive for the Seagulls under Fabian Hurzeler.

With Baleba already linked with Liverpool and the Reds interested in signing a new midfielder in the summer, the 21-year-old Brighton maestro ticks a lot of boxes for what the Anfield side are looking for in a signing, and Tchoutang has now given the perfect pitch as to why a deal should happen.

Tchoutang said: Liverpool is the club that would suit him best for me!

And I’m not just saying that because they are by far the best team in the Premier League this season and one of the strongest in Europe.

The Reds like to attack, press, and move quickly in transition.

We also know that it is a club that knows how to trust young people and give them responsibility.”

Brighton have formed quite the reputation for themselves in recent years as one of the best money-making machines in the Premier League, with the Seagulls selling the likes of Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucueralla and Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister for big profit.

And Baleba looks set to become the next big-money transfer coming out of the Amex Stadium, with GiveMeSport claiming that Brighton want as much as £115m for the Cameroon international in the summer amid interest from Liverpool and also Manchester United.

Indeed, Liverpool seem ready to spend big this summer with Slot likely to be given the keys to the kingdom by the board after winning the Premier League, yet for what Brighton are demanding for Baleba, other options in the market could make more sense given how much work needs to be done this off-season.
