Arsenal and Liverpool may do battle over the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
The Premier League duo are both likely to add to their attacking options this summer with the Frenchman a candidate for both.
Arsenal have needed a new striker for some time, while the Reds could dip into the market should Mohamed Salah depart the club at the end of his contract - although he is expected to sign a new deal and stay.
Darwin Nunez’s future at Anfield is looks far from certain, while there is also speculation over Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

One option that both clubs really like is a move for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
And one such option is Ekitike, who has shone in Germany since moving from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

He would be far more affordable for the club, commanding a £60m price tag.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes his former side have already completed a deal for a striker ahead of the summer - and does not believe that man is Isak.
He said: “I just feel with Isak, now they [Newcastle] won that [trophy], it’s going to be even more difficult to get him away from there.
But you can be certain this summer they will be buying a striker, without doubt.”
Keown added: “I would suggest that there is already a player bought and it’s already done from an Arsenal point of view.
