Manchester United are said to have made an approach for Joan Garcia as interest in the Espanyol goalkeeper.

The Gunners were heavily linked with Garcia, 23, last year and retain an interest in the player, who has impressed in La Liga this term.

But Arsenal could face stiff competition from their Premier League rivals, who are weighing up their own goalkeeping options.

Andre Onana has struggled again this term and his errors could force the Red Devils into the market in order to freshen things up and, as per reports in Spain, have already made contact with Garcia's camp.
