But despite a rise in costs and inflation, clubs have been under huge pressure not to put it onto ticket prices because of record TV deals, seats are already expensive and the cost of living crisis.

Arsenal have held lengthy and extensive talks over the past two months with seven different fan groups who make up part of their Arsenal fan advisory board.

Arsenal are set to play Champions League football again next season.

Arsenal will offer a retention on senior citizen prices, increase in concessions for young people, a commitment to community in its 40th anniversary and the option of a greater choice and flexibility on season tickets.

Clearly it has been done with reluctance but Arsenal did announce losses of £17.7m in their last financial year despite making record revenue of £616m.

That came despite the Gunners finishing second in the Premier League and reaching the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Arsenal did also put up ticket prices last year by six per cent in the lower tier and four per cent in the upper tier.

They are expecting a big summer transfer window before next season but did not spend anything in January in the winter market.

Arsenal are expected to communicate the decision to their fans and the reasoning when next season's prices are officially announced.
