The Merseyside club have agreed new terms with the Egyptian superstar and Liverpool already announced Salah’s two-year contract on Friday morning.

With a conclusion on those deals yet to be made public, Liverpool fans will be hoping one of them will be like a legendary contract announcement.

Back in 2010, there was uncertainty surrounding the Bayern Munich future of Bastian Schweinsteiger as the German entered the final 18 months of his contract.

This led to rumours linking the midfielder to Real Madrid and Manchester United, reported Sky Sports, but Schweinsteiger would put them to bed in epic fashion.

After the 3-0 defeat of St Pauli, Schweinsteiger announced on a microphone to Bayern Munich fans at the Allianz Arena that he had pledged his long-term future to the German giants, signing a new deal until 2016.

This announcement sparked delight in the stands and with Alexander-Arnold set to join Real Madrid, Liverpool fans would go crazy at Anfield should the right-back or Van Dijk copy Schweinsteiger, although the Dutch star is expected to remain on Merseyside.

Liverpool fans have criticised Alexander-Arnold for his decision to join Real Madrid this summer and most will have already given up hope that the 26-year-old will remain at Anfield.

With Salah already committing to the Premier League leaders, fans of the Reds are waiting for the club to announce Van Dijk’s new deal after Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Friday morning that everything has been agreed between all parties involved.
