Curtis Jones returns to the Liverpool team that meets Aston Villa this evening as Luis Diaz drops out.

Jones served a suspension for Sunday's 2-1 win over Wolves after being sent off after the final whistle of the Merseyside derby last week but the Academy graduate returns to the team as Diaz is named on the bench.

It's unclear if Dominik Szoboszlai, who played off the left for a portion of Sunday's second-half, or Jones, who has played in a wide position in his youth days, will operate in the front three alongside Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister both keep their places from the weekend further behind Jones and Szoboszlai.

Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are also on the bench alongside Diaz.
