Liverpool had a day to remember at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday after running out 2-0 winners against Manchester City.
The Reds have not often tasted victory away at City, having failed to win on the ground since 2015,
It was a terrific performance from Liverpool and one which moved them 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
In reality, it was one of those rare days where there was not a single thing for any Reds supporter to grumble about.
Not only did Liverpool win, they did so by keeping a clean sheet at the home of the champions.
Crucially, there were also no injury problems for the Reds to concern themselves over.
One very minor blot perhaps came in the form of Alexis Mac Allister leaving the stadium with a visible black eye.
Asked what happened by reporters, Mac Allister provided an explanation.

Mac Allister was just as good as ever against City on Sunday.
The £35m man may not have been a standout for Liverpool, but he did his job effectively.
Mac Allister was also the closest man to City forward Omar Marmoush when he thought he’d equalised in the first-half.

Marmoush swept past Alisson Becker but was clearly in an offside position.
And according to Mac Allister, the Egyptian did some damage after seeing his shot tickle in off the inside of the post.

“Basically when Marmoush scored the goal that was disallowed he hit he, he landed on me and I hit the floor,” explained the 26-year-old.
“I felt a little bit dizzy but it’s just something that happens.”
It’s unlikely that Mac Allister’s bang will be enough to keep him out of Wednesday’s game against Newcastle, but it is still something the medical staff will have to be aware of nonetheless.
And after looking a little bruised on his way out of the stadium on Sunday, Mac Allister took to his Instagram stories to share a new update on his condition on Monday.
Staring straight into the camera while seemingly in his car, the right side of the Argentina international’s face is clearly swollen.
There is bruising above Mac Allister’s eye and even some on his cheek.
The Liverpool medical team will no doubt be keen to give Macca the once over, but we’d be surprised if this impacts his chances of playing in midweek.
