Liverpool play host to Newcastle on Wednesday evening, two weeks prior to their Carabao Cup final meeting.

With both Isak and Gordon seemingly on Liverpool’s transfer radar, Slot will no doubt be keeping one eye on their Anfield performance.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game, the Liverpool manager highlighted the ‘threat’ of the Newcastle pair – praising the recent form of Isak.

“Understatement to say in fine form, he (Isak) is in excellent form.

Not the only offensive threat they have, Gordon is a big threat.”
