Liverpool have been linked with a move for one Bundesliga goalkeeper, who is valued at £4 million.
The Reds are expected to be busy this summer, with the attack and defence two areas Arne Slot is expected to strengthen.
Several names have popped up in the last couple of days as players Liverpool could sign in those areas of need.
For defence, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Marc Guehi are three names Liverpool appear to have a strong interest in.
There could also be a move for a right-back should Trent Alexander-Arnold’s expected move to Real Madrid happens.
Several names have also been brought up as options in attack, where Liverpool are expected to have one or two voids given the uncertainties around the future of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.
There could also be a move for a fresh No.
6, given that Liverpool tried to sign one last summer.
But the goalkeeping department is a position Liverpool are not expected to do any business in, considering the quality they currently have there.
Alisson Becker, Caoimhín Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros are all talented goalkeepers in their own right.
And with Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving from Valencia in the summer, the Liverpool goalkeeping department will be bloated.
It is expected that Kelleher will leave, while Liverpool have already made plans about Jaros.
Despite the goalkeeping options likely to be available for Liverpool, a new report in Germany has now claimed the Reds are interested in signing Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas.
According to BILD, the Bundesliga side are desperate to raise funds and have placed a £4m value on the goalkeeper.
The report states that Liverpool’s interest in Nicolas is because the current head of first-team goalkeeper coaching, Fabian Otte, has worked with him before.
“Nicolas (contract until 2029) is clearly at the top of the list, even in the plans for the coming season,” BILD said.
“However, there are increasing numbers of English buyers interested in the goalkeeper, who has already been eyed by national coach Julian Nagelsmann (37), including Liverpool and former goalkeeping coach Fabian Otte (34)?
A concrete offer could trigger immediate action, as Gladbach urgently needs transfer revenue, and Nicolas (market value €5 million) is on the horizon for another major contract to end his career.”
