Now attention turns to Celtic Park as Ferguson makes his Old Firm debut in the dugout.
There may only be pride at stake, but there will be away fans there to see it for once and as both bosses know., these clashes are never meaningless.

"In the second game, we arrived into it and Liverpool had a far greater rest.
We're at a big club, we're here to play in big games.
"We've done that throughout the season and really the last couple of weeks is the only chance we've had to have that recovery and we'll finish that tomorrow.
"But we've had a good working week and we'll look to bring our running game and our intensity into Sunday's game."
