Welcome to our live coverage of Brentford vs Liverpool in the Premier League at the Gtech Community Stadium (3pm kick-off) - where a injury-time double from Darwin Nunez has just saw the Reds move seven points clear at the top.
Arne Slot's side saw their lead at the summit cut to four points in midweek after they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at third-placed Nottingham Forest and second-placed Arsenal won their North London derby at home to Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.
That latter result has applied a little pressure to Liverpool but they had the perfect chance to shift it back on to the Gunners ahead of their 5.30pm kick-off at home to Aston Villa.
However, the Reds did not have it easy against a Brentford side who have an excellent home record, winning nine, drawing two and losing two of their 11 league games before today's encounter, and in midweek they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with faltering defending champions Manchester City.
But after sharing the spoils against Forest and Manchester United before that, Liverpool head coach Slot and his players will be determined to return to winning ways and put a big marker down in the title race.
And that's exactly what they have done thanks to super-sub Nunez.
