Liverpool return to UEFA Champions League action this week with a mouthwatering tie against French giants PSG.
The reigning Ligue 1 giants have been one of the best sides in Europe since the turn of the year with PSG qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League in emphatic fashion with a 10-0 aggregate win against French rivals Brest.
With PSG’s record much more convincing that Liverpool’s in the last ten games, there’s a real chance that Arne Slot’s side will face arguably their biggest test yet this season when the two sides meet on Wednesday at the Parc des Prances.
And pundit Paul Merson has now given his verdict on how Liverpool will fare in the French capital this week against PSG.

Writing for Sky Sports News, the former Arsenal star noted how he can’t picture Liverpool getting a result away to PSG in France this week, with Merson predicting at least a draw for the Premier League leaders.
With Liverpool to face Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid should they progress against PSG, the Anfield side’s European credentials will be tested to the limit this season, with Merson not too convinced by the Reds’ chances this week in France.
Merson wrote: “I don’t see Liverpool winning at Paris Saint-Germain – they have to come back with at least a draw.

“That’s why this is a good cup tie.
We saw that with PSG in the Man City game, with four goals in the second half, and we’ve seen Liverpool destroy teams.
I don’t think there’ll be a lot in this.”

As mentioned, PSG’s form in recent weeks has been astonishing, with the French side looking as good as they have done in some years under Luis Enrique, who has found the perfect balance in his squad to destroy teams.
And the French side are confident about their chances against the Reds, with Ousmane Dembele looking forward to facing Liverpool with the former FC Barcelona attacker arguably the only winger in world football who can compete with Mohamed Salah in terms of recent form.
Although Enrique has labelled Liverpool as ‘the best team in Europe’, the Spanish coach knows PSG have the quality to give the Anfield side a real scare in France this week, and Slot will know is team have to be at their absolute best to get a result.
