They are joined by Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Southampton, Brentford and Crystal Palace complete the quarter-final line-up.

The draw is scheduled for around 10:30pm, and we'll bring you it as it happens.

That's it, Man City are out!

Tottenham are through the the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Ange Postecoglou's men scored both of their goals in the first half through Timo Werner and Pape Matar Sarr.

They lost Micky van de Ven and Werner to injury, and a goal from Matheus Nunes brought City back into the contest.

However, they managed to hold on and see off the Premier League champions.

Yves Bissouma, that is magnificent!

Man City deliver a corner into the box that Guglielmo Vicario gets nowhere near.

It drops for Nico O'Reilly, and he lashes a shot at goal.

It looks destined for the net, but Bissouma gets back on the line to pull off a magnificent clearance.

Pep Guardiola makes his final change of the game, but it's not Erling Haaland.

So, we will not be seeing the Norwegian this evening.

Instead, he hands a debut to Jahmal Simpson-Pusey.

What an evening of Carabao Cup action, and the 7:45 games are all now over.

Aston Villa are out.

They've lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace, who opened the scoring through Eberechi Eze before he went off injured.

Luckily, his replacement, Daichi Kamada, came off the bench to drill a low shot into the bottom corner to seal the big win for Oliver Glasner's men.

The post-Erik ten Hag era at Manchester United started with a 5-2 battering of Leicester City.

The Red Devils were 4-2 up at half time thanks to goals from Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho.

The second half was somehwhat a disappointment with just one goal from Fernandes.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United beat Chelsea 2-0 at St James' Park.

Given the Magpies are winless since September in the league, it was a huge win for Eddie Howe's men, who are into the last eight.

Arsenal proved to be far too good for Preston, as they ran out 3-0 winners at Deepdale.

Ah, Timo Werner is back.

After ending his goal drought in the first half, it's normal service resumed in the second.

The German is played through on the halfway line, and he races towards the box.

He could open the goal up by driving towards Stefan Ortega, but he goes the other way.

This narrows his angle, while through one-on-one, he fires wide of the far post.

Well, that game came to life in the second half, and the holders are through to the next round.

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring with a stunning right-footed strike at the start of the second 45 minutes before he doubled the lead with a low shot.

Simon Adingra got the hosts back in it, but Luis Diaz quickly restored Liverpool's two-goal lead.

However, a deflected Tariq Lamptey strike set up a nervy finish.

But the Reds held on, and they go marching through to the next round.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Brighton do not know when they are beaten, and they are back in this.

Kaoru Mitoma does brilliantly down the left and clips a dangerous cross into the box.

It's cleared as far as Tariq Lamptey.

He takes a touch and fires in a left-footed strike that hits Jarell Quansah and rolls into the net.

That's the end of an excellent first 45 minutes.

Spurs started brilliantly and raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Timo Werner and Pape Matar Sarr.

They lost Micky van de Ven to injury, and City grew into the match.

Just before half time, they pulled a goal back through Matheus Nunes, so it's game on.

OH, IT'S PROBABLY GAME OVER!

Jason Steele initially makes a wonderful save from a deflected shot.

The ball loops up into the air, and Luis Diaz is allowed to bring it down.

He takes a touch and drills in a low shot at the near post.

He runs off and celebrates, knowing that is probably the goal that has sealed the Reds' spot in the next round of the Carabao Cup.

THAT COULD BE A BIG GOAL!

Liverpool are guilty of losing possession near their box.

A shot comes in that Vitezslav Jaros blocks well.

But he can't stop Simon Adingra from converting the bound, setting up a very tense final ten minutes.

GAME ON!

City have grown into this contest, and now, they have a foothold in it.

Savinho drives down the right and delivers a wonderful cross into the box.

Matheus Nunes arrives unmarked to convert.

Pep Guardiola's men can make a game of this now.

Phil Foden should probably be on the scoresheet.

The England international is playing as a false nine this evening in place of Erling Haaland, and he's just missed a great chance.

City work the ball patiently on the right, and as the cross comes in, it drops for Foden.

He connects with a clean volley that he sends miles over the bar.

Anthony Gordon is a lucky boy there is no VAR!

The Newcastle winger carries the ball down the right and weaves inside.

He takes a heavy touch and loses possession.

Marc Cucurella picks it up, and Gordon throws himself into a tackle, leaving the Spaniard in a crumpled heap on the floor.

The referee deems it only worthy of a yellow, but on another day, that could have been a red card.

THAT IS AN EMPHATIC FINISH!

Vitezslav Jaros launches a goal kick up the pitch.

Jan Paul van Hecke heads the ball as far as Cody Gakpo.

The Dutchman beats Tariq Lamptey to the ball and charges into the box.

He has options but elects to go himself and drills a low strike into the near post corner.

SPURS ARE CRUISING!

From a corner, Dejan Kulusevski receives possession on the right and rolls a pass to Pape Matar Sarr.

The central midfielder takes aim from distance.

He hits a curling strike that dips and flashes beyond Stefan Ortega, who was unsighted by his teammates.

This is turning into a very good evening for Ange Postecoglou.

The Seagulls should be level!

Tariq Lamptey comes down the right and delivers a deep cross to the far post.

Simon Adingra is there and heads the ball back across goal to where it came from.

It looks like he's found the bottom corner, but Vitezslav Jaros pulls off a miraculous save.

Moments later, Evan Ferguson is played in, but he blasts over from close range.

ARNE SLOT'S TEAM TALK HAS WORKED!

45 seconds into the second half, and Liverpool have the lead over Brighton.

The ball is played down the left for the Dutchman.

He cuts inside and unleashes a ridiculous strike that is past Jason Steele before he can even smell it.

Oh, this doesn't look good at all.

Micky van de Ven has had to be withdrawn for Tottenham.

The rapid Dutchman is in pain as he leaves the pitch to be replaced by Destiny Udogie.

Ange Postecoglou and all who support Tottenham will hope that is nothing serious, but it looks to be his hamstring.

So, since we last visited Old Trafford, there have been four goals.

Manchester United are currently beating Leicester 4-1, and the home fans are loving what they are seeing.

Alejandro Garnacho got on the end of Diogo Dalot's cross to make it 2-0.

Bilal El Khannous then pulled one back with a lovely low shot off the inside of the post.

But six minutes later, it was 4-1 as Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro scored.

In fact, Casemiro should have a hat-trick, given he's just missed a free header.
