The date and time for next month’s Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Newcastle United has been confirmed.

Liverpool will play in the Carabao Cup final for the 15th time in history after a dominant semi-final win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Having lost 1-0 in the first leg in London, Liverpool produced a completely dominant display at Anfield in the second leg to ensure that they will play in the final at Wembley for the second season in a row and for the third time in the last four seasons.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has already broken several records this season.

He could help secure Liverpool’s 11th League Cup trophy if he defeats Newcastle United in the final.

Having already beaten West Ham, Brighton, Southampton and Tottenham, the Reds look value for their money to win.

But they face a tough game against a Newcastle United side that beat Arsenal 4-0 on aggregate in the semi-final.

Eddie Howe’s side are seeking their first major trophy in 70 years, with the squad having the experience of the 2022/23 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United to call on.
