Best and worst routes to the final

Liverpool now effectively knows its route to the Champions League final, with some dream and nightmare scenarios possible.

A last-16 tie against PSG is confirmed, but a quarter-final against Club Brugge and a semi-final against PSV could lie wait, before a possible final against Feyenoord - although that does seem like a long shot.

Rather more daunting though is the prospect of a quarter-final against Aston Villa, a semi-final against one of Arsenal, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, before a final against Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen or Inter Milan.

Here is the Champions League last-16 draw in full then - the first legs are scheduled for March 4 and 5, with the second legs taking place on March 11 and 12:

The Champions League last-16 draw is scheduled to take place in around 15 minutes.

In reality, these things always take a lot longer than they should, with a lot of preamble to get through before we get to the actual draw.

Supercomputer predicts Liverpool's Champions League fate

Liverpool’s chances of winning this season’s Champions League have been predicted by a supercomputer - and it makes for exciting reading for Reds fans.

CasinoHawks’ supercomputer has not only predicted how the last-16 will be drawn, but also simulated the rest of the competition, with Liverpool coming out as the most likely winners at 15.3%.

Since Liverpool is seeded in today's draw, it already knows the second leg will be at Anfield, regardless of whether it comes up against PSG or Benfica.

Champions League draw simulated

The last-16 draw is just over an hour away, but it has already been simulated to see how things could pan out for Liverpool and its rivals.

The simulation has pitted the Reds against PSG, which is arguably the harder of the two ties on offer for Arne Slot's side.

What time is the Champions League last-16 draw?

Liverpool won't have to wait too long to find out who it will be facing in the last-16 of the Champions League.

The draw takes place at 11am UK time - that 6am Eastern Time or 3am Pacific Time if you're in the US.

Don't worry if that's a little too early for you fans Stateside - we'll bring you the draw in full and plenty of reaction throughout the day.

Liverpool will discovers its Champions League last-16 opponent.

The rest of the knockout phase will also be mapped out by UEFA.
