Paul Joyce has provided a huge update on the future of Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton.
The defensive midfielder, who was subject to concrete interest from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, is one of the few players expected to be on the move this winter.
West Ham emerged as a potential destination for the 22-year-old, with the Hammers reportedly interested in a loan deal.
However, nothing has come out of their interest and with the transfer window hours to being shut, a new side have registered concrete interest.
This is according to reliable journalist Paul Joyce, who has reported that Championship side Middlesbrough have sent in an offer for Morton.
“Middlesbrough have made an offer for Tyler Morton, the Liverpool midfielder,” Paul Joyce wrote.
“The fee could be significantly above £10 million depending on bonuses and add ons.
Morton – who was wanted by Bayer Leverkusen last summer – is keen for more regular football.
The two clubs have a good relationship, given the success of Ben Doak’s loan move from Anfield?
One to watch in the coming hours.”
