Liverpool defender Conor Bradley was once again handed the honour of captaining Northern Ireland as they thrashed Bulgaria 5-0.

Northern Ireland midfielder Isaac Price labelled Bradley ‘unbelievable’ at the beginning of the international break, with the Liverpool ace a key player for his national team.

Price went on to score a hat-trick against Bulgaria in the Nations League, with Bradley captaining his country for the second time after doing the same in the goalless draw with Belarus.

Bradley could become Liverpool captain one day given his exploits in the current international break at the age of just of 21.

He played the full 90 minutes of both matches, having struggled for minutes under Arne Slot at Anfield so far.

But there is, of course, the presence of Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool, with the England star the clear first-choice right-back.

Bradley is, however, doing his chances of boosting his Reds career no harm with his international efforts, having enjoyed another top game for Northern Ireland.

He was handed a 7/10 rating by the Belfast Telegraph, which wrote: “Proud captain once again, the Liverpool man is a joy to watch when he’s bursting forward with pace.

Quiet game by his own high standards but still a class act.”

Bradley burst onto the scene at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, with the youngster emulating his fellow full-back Alexander-Arnold.

The Northern Ireland star impressed at both ends of the pitch, quickly endearing himself to the Anfield faithful.

Now he is unquestionably behind Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order, with Bradley likely well aware that it will take some doing to topple the first-choice.

But minutes are certain to continue to arrive as Slot continues to rotate, with rotation on the cards upon the return from the international break.

Moreover, with Alexander-Arnold running down his Anfield contract, there is every chance that the Reds already have their ideal replacement in Bradley.
