Paris FC president Pierre Ferracci has put to bed any speculation that Jurgen Klopp might take the helm at the Ligue 2 club, despite Red Bull's recent takeover.

The former Liverpool manager recently took up the position of Head of Global Football for Red Bull.

The 56-year-old had already made it clear he wasn't looking to dive back into management after his departure from Liverpool last summer.

Ferracci found himself quashing rumours about Klopp stepping in as Paris FC boss following whispers that gained momentum with Red Bull's move to acquire the French team, alongside the Arnault family through their holding company Agache, which owns the luxury brand powerhouse LVMH.

In terms of the acquisition details, the Arnaults are set to initially hold a 55% stake in the club, with Red Bull taking 15%, while Ferracci will keep 30% of the shares until 2027 when he plans to sell them to the Arnault family.

Having led Paris FC since 2012, 72-year-old Ferracci was quick to clarify the situation with Klopp in a chat with BFM Business, stating firmly: "No, he won't be the coach," and added with a hint of humour: "At least not for the moment...

Unless one day we're in the Champions League."

The Frenchman then showered commendations on manager Stephane Gilli, who took Paris FC to a commendable fifth place in Ligue 2 last season.

He's someone I admire a lot," reports the Mirror.

Despite not featuring in Ligue 1 since the 1978/79 season, a dawn of a new chapter at Paris FC could spell the end of their long hiatus from France's top division, with Ferracci expressing confidence but restraint regarding the transfer market prospects.

PARIS, FRANCE - AUGUST 29: Jurgen Klopp, German Football Manager, watches on during the Men's Preliminary Rounds on day one of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games at Champs-de-Mars Arena on August 29, 2024 in Paris, France.

"We'll be making small adjustments, as usual."

Regarding a potential announcement from the Arnault family in the coming months, the president's words were clear and definite: "No, no, that will happen later."

A promotion for Paris FC this season looks likely so far as they currently top the Ligue 2 table, buoyant with six victories from eight games as they hold a two-point lead over Lorient.
