Cody Gakpo believes the Liverpool squad is capable of doing something no other Premier League team has done before this season

Cody Gakpo has underlined that Liverpool are taking each competition seriously this season and believes the squad has the capacity to win the quadruple.
The Reds currently top the Premier League and have won both of their Champions League matches.
They are also in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup as holders of the trophy, with their FA Cup campaign not starting until the Third Round in January.
Liverpool came close to doing the unthinkable in 2022, when all four prizes were within reach.

Having already lifted the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, Jurgen Klopp’s men lost the title race by a point to Manchester City before falling short against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Gakpo did not arrive at Anfield until six months later but believes the current squad has the capability of going two better this campaign.

“Hopefully we can win everything!” he told Sky Sports, adding: “It’s the start of the season, we are in all competitions and when you participate in a competition you participate to win.
The run-in period included disappointing quarter-final defeats to Manchester United in the FA Cup and Atalanta in the Europa League, having won the Carabao Cup in February.
Liverpool have had a change of boss since then, with Arne Slot winning nine of his 10 opening matches, but the squad composed by Klopp has largely stayed the same.
Gakpo believes this is something Liverpool will benefit from in the quest for silverware.

“We have a good group, a lot of quality and we know each other a little bit longer now,” added the Dutchman, who has started just one Premier League game under Slot so far.
