The Anfield Wrap has released a compelling documentary, From Aghyaran to Anfield, chronicling the remarkable journey of Liverpool and Northern Ireland right-back Conor Bradley.

The film provides an intimate look at Bradley’s rise from the small village of Aghyaran in County Tyrone to playing on one of football’s biggest stages.

The documentary features interviews with key figures who shaped Bradley’s career, including his first coach at St.

Patrick’s FC, Rory Lynch, and Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill.

It highlights pivotal moments in his development, from his early days playing Gaelic football to excelling at Dungannon Swifts before joining Liverpool’s academy in 2019.

Bradley’s rise has been meteoric.

He has registered 23 Premier League appearances for Liverpool and earned 23 international caps for Northern Ireland – and has already worn the armband for his nation.

Notable moments, such as his viral tackle on Kylian Mbappé during a Champions League clash, are celebrated in the film.

One of Conor Bradley’s earliest coaches at St Patrick’s FC, Rory Lynch, believes the talented defender was always destined to represent Liverpool, describing his rise to the top as something that seemed inevitable.

Speaking to the Anfield Wrap for the documentary, he said:

“He was born to play for them because he was Liverpool mad.”

“I didn’t think it really hit me until I saw him play against Chelsea [in January 2024] and score that goal,” Lynch told the filmmakers.

“It was the same celebration from when he was a young boy…I don’t think it mattered if it was Anfield or here he just wanted to play football.”

“Conor was always number 6 playing with St Pat’s and I believe all the number 6 jerseys have gone missing now.

That’s the jersey everyone wants to wear now when they play for St Pat’s.”

He added that Bradley is now something of a sensation in Northern Ireland:

“There are so many Liverpool supporters in the town now and that’s because of Conor Bradley.”

“Everywhere I go all I see is Bradley 84 on the back?

No matter who else they support they will have a Liverpool top or a Northern Ireland top with his name on the back.”

The full documentary is available for free on the Anfield Wrap’s YouTube channel.

Currently, Bradley is still, unfortunately, recovering from a hamstring injury sustained against Aston Villa in February.

Arne Slot’s initial assessment after the match was not promising and suggested that it would be a ‘few weeks’.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill has suggested that Bradley is still aiming for a return before the end of the season.
