Conor Bradley has revealed his fellow countryman Rory McIlroy is an “inspiration” to him, and praised the golf star after his recent success at the Masters.
Unsurprisingly, for a fellow Northern Irish athlete, Bradley said he is chuffed for McIlroy, whose achievements are made even more impressive given he comes from a country with a population of under two million people.

I think what Rory did last week was unbelievable, what he did was so special, so amazing to complete the Grand Slam,” Bradley said in a recent interview with BBC Sport NI.
I am really proud and pretty sure everyone back home has the same feeling.”
Bradley had an impressive achievement to celebrate last week, with the Liverpool defender being voted Northern Ireland’s Player of the Year.
He’s also on the verge of winning a first Premier League title, an achievement made even more impressive given - unlike McIlroy, Bradley is a boyhood Liverpool fan.
“Liverpool are not here as a football club to give someone a send-off.
“We need to assess whether Conor Bradley is the guy for us next season playing week in, week out.
“The decision Liverpool have is: “Does Conor Bradley become our first-choice right back and we buy a back-up player?” or “Are we buying a first-choice right back and Conor Bradley is going to have to battle with him?” So that lad [Bradley] needs as much experience as he can get.”
