Conor Bradley described Alisson as the best goalkeeper in the world after the Brazilian produced a number of key saves in Liverpool's victory over West Ham.

The Reds were not at their brilliant best in Sunday's game at Anfield, and Alisson was required to pull the team out of the mire on a number of occasions, making impressive saves from Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.

His saves ultimately kept Liverpool in a position to win the game, and that is exactly what it did as Virgil van Dijk scored an 89th-minute winner after Luis Diaz's earlier opener had been cancelled out by an Andy Robertson own-goal.

"It was a difficult second half.

I thought the first half was really good, we created loads of chances and played really good football, but the second half we sat off a bit and allowed them to control the game.

That can happen when you're in a title race.

"You can't control the game for 90 minutes every football match.

It was fitting that Van Dijk scored the winning goal as the club prepares to announce his contract extension, which will likely happen this week and tie him to the club until 2027.

Bradley knew that Liverpool was likely to have a chance to win the game despite Robertson's own-goal occurring in the 86th minute and was delighted to see the captain find the back of the net in front of the Kop.

"I was gutted when they scored their equaliser but I looked at the clock and saw there were a good few minutes left, so I thought there was still time," Bradley said
