Crystal Palace’s stance on Eberechi Eze this summer
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace and England winger Eberechi Eze this summer.
The Reds have made contact with the representatives of Eze who finished the season strongly with Palace, securing a place in England’s Euro 2024 squad.
The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 27 Premier League appearances for the Eagles last season.
Manchester City and Tottenham are also interested in the Englishman with the Times reporting that Spurs are currently leading the race to sign the former Queens Park Rangers star.
However, Palace Way reports that “Crystal Palace Palace are relaxed about the future of Eberechi Eze despite interest from a number of top Premier League clubs.”
“Palace are in a comfortable financial position given Michael Olise’s imminent departure and are confident of being able to strengthen their squad with the proceeds of that sale.
“Liverpool have been in contact with the Eze’s representatives, but this has merely been exploratory and is not at an advanced stage.
“Given the value of the England international’s release clause, it is unlikely Liverpool will act on their interest at this moment in time.
“Eze is happy at Palace and is aware of the positive impact that the club has had on his career progression.
“The current long-term project at Palace under Oliver Glasner is also appealing.”
