Crystal Palace's fine win over Fulham on Saturday didn't just put the Eagles into the FA Cup semi-finals, but it also had an impact on the Premier League title race.

Goals from Eberechi Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah secured a 3-0 win for Oliver Glasner's side at Craven Cottage, where home boss Marco Silva was left incensed at referee Darren England's failure to send off Palace midfielder Adam Wharton in the first half.

Palace became the first side into the last four of the FA Cup with their victory, and as a result they will now head to Wembley on the weekend of April 26-27, meaning that their Premier League match at Arsenal scheduled for April 26 will need to be moved.

Where it will be moved to is unclear, but the Gunners play the next three midweeks as they take on Fulham in the Premier League on April 1 and then face Real Madrid over both legs of their Champions League quarter-final on April 8 and 16.

Given they face a match at Ipswich on Sunday April 20, that leaves Wednesday April 23 as the first possible date that the match could be played, but Palace are unlikely to be happy with that as they would much prefer a free week to prepare for the FA Cup semi-final, plus the switch would come at very short notice.

It is much more likely that the match will be moved to beyond the original date, although where exactly that is will depend on whether or not the Gunners have got beyond reigning European champions Real Madrid in the Champions League.

If they have, then Arsenal will play Paris Saint-Germain or Aston Villa in the semi-finals on April 29-30 and May 6-7, ruling out those dates for the Crystal Palace match.

The only remaining midweeks it could then be played are the weeks commencing May 12 and 19, but there could be further complications there should Palace reach the FA Cup final on May 17.

What all of this means for Liverpool is that the Reds could soon find themselves with a game in hand on the Gunners once again, and with an extra chance to stretch their lead at the top to an unassailable margin.

Currently 12 points clear, Liverpool need a maximum of 16 points to win their 20th top-flight title and second in five years.

The Reds and the Gunners each play at least four Premier League matches before the now interrupted weekend of April 26-27, and presuming Arsenal vs Palace gets pushed back rather than forward, then should Arsenal drop any points in one of those four games then Liverpool could seal the title by beating Tottenham at Anfield on April 27 if they have won all of their preceding four games..

If Arsenal vs Palace gets moved forward and Arsenal win then that would delay Liverpool's likely coronation, perhaps setting up the possibility that the Reds securing the title when Arsenal come to Anfield on the weekend of May 10.
