Darwin Nunez isn't getting too excited by Liverpool's considerable lead over Arsenal in the Premier League title race - admitting there's still a long way to go.
While Nunez has struggled this season, with just seven goals in all competitions, he made a mighty impact against the Saints and said despite his team's hefty lead with just 10 games to go the title race is not over.
Speaking to TNTSportsMex after full-time, Liverpool's number nine refused to claim victory in the league and called on his team-mates to continue their form.
"We need to keep going; this isn't over yet," Nunez said.
"There are many matches ahead, and we all know the Premier League is very difficult, but we have to keep working.
While he's started only eight league games this season, the Uruguayan has struck up a good relationship with Salah since arriving at Anfield in 2022.
Following Salah's brace that put him level with Sergio Aguero on 184 Premier League goals, Nunez spoke of the 32-year-old's leadership abilities.

"He has an incredible mentality," he said of Salah.
And you saw him also in the last game against PSG, he was very important when he came in, making a difference."
Liverpool won't be back in action in the Premier League until April 2 when they host Everton.
