Everton manager David Moyes makes an incredible claim about Liverpool’s goal against his side on Wednesday.
The Reds continued their march towards their 20th league title with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Everton on Wednesday.
It was their first game since the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United over two weeks ago, and it took a second-half goal from Diogo Jota to secure the win for Arne Slot’s side.
The win brought Liverpool’s total victory over Everton to 100 and ended the Toffees’ nine-match unbeaten league run to an abrupt halt.
Liverpool dominated every aspect of the game, limiting Everton to zero shots on target.
The Toffees did score a goal, though, but it was rightly ruled out as offside.
After the game, Moyes suggested that the goal his side conceded was also supposed to be ruled out for offside.
Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Moyes said:
“There is an offside goal, which they get.
That is the difference in the game tonight.
It’s a clear offside, a very easy decision to give?
