By now, all Liverpool fans are aware that Alexander Isak has emerged as the centre-piece potential high-profile battle between Liverpool and Arsenal, with both clubs eager to secure a forward capable of propelling their squads to new heights.

Now David Ornstein has provided a big update on the Swedish international:

Revealing in an Athletic Q&A session, the transfer journalist confirmed that he’s heard that Alexander Isak is a Liverpool target:

“They will obviously have multiple options on their radar but the only name I’ve personally heard of so far is Alexander Isak?

Liverpool aren’t alone in liking the Swede,” David Ornstein said.

“Liverpool will only move for Isak if he is genuinely available.”

“They’re not the type of club to engage in a wild goose chase.”

“I do think his future will be one of the big talking points heading into and during the summer transfer window,” Ornstein concluded.
