Reported Liverpool Dean Huijsen already seems well-acquainted with some of the players in the squad.
Huijsen’s £50 million release clause was first reported by Fabrizio Romano, with the Italian confirming that it becomes active this summer.
While Bournemouth is eager to retain him by offering a new deal, the likelihood of Huijsen staying seems slim given the interest from top-tier clubs.
Since joining Bournemouth from Juventus for £13 million in 2024, Huijsen has started all 26 Premier League matches, anchoring a Cherries defense that has been impressive this term.
His statistical profile reveals why top clubs are clamoring for his signature:

Romano has already asserted that a centre-back signing will be forthcoming this summer:
“Liverpool are monitoring players and are actively working on a new centre back.”
“It’s a position they 100% want to cover, discussed and approved by Arne Slot.”
And it would seem Liverpool’s ideal option is already a big fan of some of the players at Anfield already
What Liverpool shirts does Dean Huijsen have?
Huijsen did an interview with Spanish YouTuber Rodrigo Faez, with the host travelling to the player’s home in Bournemouth for a chat.
The centre-back was showing the host some of the kits he has managed to swap with players in his debut Premier League campaign:
“It’s a small collection of shirts, I have more but these are in Spain and some in Italy too.”
He then showed Gravenberch’s shirt and made sure to make the host know he was impressed:
“Gravenberch, wow
I think I am a little taller than him but he is much stronger,” Huijsen said.
“The collection is still small but it will grow a little more in the future.”
