Declan Rice remains hopeful about Arsenal chances of piping Liverpool to the Premier League title despite dropping further points over the weekend when they were forced to settle for a point against Manchester United.
The England midfielder's goal salvaged a draw at Old Trafford, but it wasn't enough to prevent Arne Slot's squad from staying 15 points adrift.
Despite his goal, the England international came under criticism for how he celebrated the equaliser.
Rice shushed the Stretford End after his strike whipped beyond the reach of Andre Onana before waiting for his teammates to celebrate with him.
However, some questioned whether the celebrations were over the top given that the Gunners were still on course to drop points in the heart of a title race.
Gabriel Martinelli was among those to urge Rice to get back to the halfway line and push on for a second goal in an awkward moment, with some stars already making their way into their own half and ready for kickoff.
Liverpool need of 16 points from their remaining fixtures, and the Gunners will be keep to close the gap whilst also fending off a tight contest for Champions League spots beneath them, with Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Manchester City also vie for a top-four finish.
With just five points separating fourth-place Chelsea from ninth-place Newcastle, the battle intensifies with Brighton, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, and Newcastle are all in contention as well.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, Rice praised Liverpool's remarkable season but dismissed claims that the Premier League title is certainly heading to Anfield.
He explainend: "Look, like the manager said, we've got to keep going, keep giving everything until the end of the season.
"Liverpool have been amazing all year, credit to them but it's not over yet, we need to keep pushing.
We've got to keep playing the games, there's still a lot to play for this year.
"[We'll] keep pushing, same mindset and I'm sure we'll be alright."
Before Liverpool's next Premier League match against Everton on April 2, Arsenal have the opportunity to close the gap if they manage to secure victories in their upcoming London derbies against Chelsea and Fulham.
