Jamie Carragher claims Arne Slot does not trust Harvey Elliott and two other Liverpool players(Image: Getty Images)
Jamie Carragher has identified three players who he believes are not fully trusted by Liverpool boss Arne Slot, including Harvey Elliott.
Despite making a strong start to his tenure at Anfield and positioning the Reds as serious contenders for the Premier League title, Slot appears to have a select group of players he relies on more than others.
Elliott, who was brought in by Jurgen Klopp, has seen limited game time under Slot, failing to start a single league match and making all nine of his appearances from the bench.
He does not seem to trust back-up options such as Harvey Elliott or Wataru Endo unless there is no option."

Endo, who was signed by Klopp last summer, has also struggled to break into the starting line-up, with all 11 of his appearances coming as a substitute.
Carragher has also cast doubt on Slot's confidence in Federico Chiesa, who was his sole signing last summer.
Despite the Italian's high reputation following Euro 2020 triumph with Italy, he's seen little action, with Slot opting for other attackers instead.
"Again, his lack of minutes suggests Slot does not believe the Italian is a game-changer."

Chiesa has clocked just 171 minutes for the Reds, and Slot has indicated that his pre-season was a factor in his limited playtime.
Jota had a normal pre-season, well not normal as he was at the Euros, but he had a normal start with us and Federico did not," Slot explained.
