Dominik Szoboszlai and Liverpool-linked Milos Kerkez shared a moment on social media after Bournemouth’s outstanding 4-1 victory over Newcastle United at St?
James’ Park at the weekend.
The Hungarian international reportedly favors a move to Anfield over Manchester United, with any potential deal reportedly waiting until the summer.
Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes could be a decisive factor in Kerkez’s preference, having previously signed the 21-year-old for Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.
While Bournemouth have no immediate plans to sell in January, they would consider offers around £40-£50 million for the dynamic full-back.
This represents a significant markup from the £15.5 million they paid AZ Alkmaar.
The Reds are expected to prioritize left-back reinforcements in 2025, with Andy Robertson turning 31 and Kostas Tsimikas approaching 29
The Cherries are in a strong position, having recently signed potential replacement Julio Soler for £11.5 million.
The Red Devils remain keen on securing Kerkez’s services, with new manager Ruben Amorim specifically targeting a left wing-back for his 3-4-3 system.
However, United’s interest may be cooling as they pivot towards more economical options, including Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu.
But one man who could convince Milos Kerkez over a move to Anfield is Dominik Szoboszlai, with the two compatriots sharing an interaction on social media.

In what could be interpreted as responding to all the transfer rumours, Kerkez posted an image of his celebration on Saturday accompanied by the caption: “I do my talking on the pitch.”
Szoboszlai seemed to support this idea, commenting on the post: “Yes my son”
Kerkez’s aggressive style and ability to contribute in both attack and defense have drawn comparisons to Andy Robertson by some pundits and fans.
Interestingly, the reported Liverpool target has joined the same agency as Federico Chiesa – Fali Ramadani’s Lian Sports Group.
The agency has significant experience dealing with Premier League clubs, being ranked as the 12th most influential agency worldwide in 2019 and among the top five solely dedicated to football.
Lian Sports Group brokered the deal between Federico Chiesa and Liverpool – but there does not otherwise seem to be a history of goodwill between the club and the agency.
