The high intensity of the match led to understandably heightened emotions, and it appears that Szoboszlai has made an enemy in Arda Guler.

During the second leg, the Liverpool midfielder clashed with the Turkish youngster, and their spat continued off the pitch.

Following the game, Szoboszlai left a comment on an Instagram post, issuing a brutal jab at the Turkish youngster, as he made fun of the amount of minutes that Arda Guler had played this season, ‘1088’.

Guler reacted strongly, saying: “This guy is a joke.

Isn’t six goals enough to shut you up?”

Potential Premier League move for Güler

Now, they could be set for an awkward reunion as Aston Villa sporting director Monchi has spoken of his wishes to sign the Real Madrid forward, sparking rumours of a potential summer transfer.

Monchi told Marca: “He’s a player who met a number of requirements and could be attractive to Aston Villa.

Personally, I think he’s a player with very good technical skills, and I also think he has personality.”
