Dominik Szoboszlai has shared his thoughts on the Liverpool title run-in, stressing the mindset the team needs to finish the job.

The title is close.

Liverpool fans can feel it.

Two wins from the final six games would be enough to bring the Premier League trophy back to Anfield.

With the finish line in sight, excitement is building across the red half of Merseyside.

But so is the pressure.

Every supporter is doing the maths.

What if Liverpool win and Arsenal drop points?

What if it’s all wrapped up by the weekend?

But inside the dressing room, the mindset is different.

Just focus on the job.

That’s the message Dominik Szoboszlai is pushing ahead of Sunday’s clash against Leicester City.

What did Dominik Szoboszlai say about Liverpool?

“It’s good because we have worked so hard for the whole season to get to this point,” Szoboszlai said via the club’s official website.

“And everybody was involved somehow – from the players, from the staff, from the fans, from the city, from everybody.”

The midfielder knows the team is on the brink of something special.

But he also understands how quickly things can shift if focus is lost.

“I think it’s going to be a huge moment for everyone but we have two games [wins] to go,” he continued.

For Szoboszlai, looking at Arsenal’s results would only be a distraction.

“I think it’s very important to be just calm, focus on Leicester [and] don’t even think about what Arsenal does,” he said.

“You have to focus on yourself because it is in your own hand and you have to be happy that it is only in your hand [and] you don’t have to focus on other teams to lose or draw.”

He added a reminder “We have to be focused every game for 90 minutes.”

When asked about the season so far, Szoboszlai summed it up well, “Unbelievable.

Ups and downs: being first in the Champions League group stage and then [going] out against Paris [Saint-Germain], went to the Carabao Cup final [and] lost against Newcastle.”

“[Now] two games to go to win the Premier League.

Ups and downs, but it was really good.”

For Liverpool, the goal is simple.

Let others worry about the table.
