Liverpool are reportedly in contact with the agent of Joao Pedro and in discussions about how feasible it would be to sign the Brighton & Hove Albion striker this summer.
Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are other clubs credited with an interest in the Brazil international.

However, Liverpool are said to have begun initial discussions about a potential transfer to give them an advantage over other suitors, with the player purportedly among Arne Slot's preferred options to sign.

Caught Offside claims Pedro could be available circa £40million.
The outlet also names Ipswich Town's Liam Delap as a striker who has emerged on their radar after being scouted closely this season.
Alexander Isak of Newcastle United is considered the top target, with Inter's Marcus Thuram and Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa listed as other alternatives.
All are potential choices to replace Darwin Nunez, with the striker said to be increasingly likely to leave this summer.

GIVEMESPORT also claims it is becoming progressively probable that Federico Chiesa will depart, too.
The Reds reportedly plan to sanction a sale, with Inter and Napoli named as possible destinations in the player's native Italy.
However, Juventus will seemingly not be one of those despite the head coach who froze Chiesa out, Thiago Motta, recently leaving the Turin club.

It appears Liverpool will not stand in the player's way should an opportunity to cut their losses arise a quarter of the way through his four-year contract.
Doing so is also said to not depend on Mohamed Salah's future, despite the signing of Chiesa seemingly being a backup for the Egypt international.
That prospect has yet to play out this season, with the winger starting just three matches and playing 90 minutes just twice - both of which were games that Liverpool lost - across his 11 appearances in red.
