The Premier League is widely regarded as the cream of the crop in world football – and that means it boasts some of the most expensive players on the planet.
But there's quite the gulf from the top of the league down to the bottom.
No prizes for guessing that Erling Haaland tops the list of each top-flight club's most expensive player for Manchester City.
With Haaland set to stay at the Etihad until 2034, they price him in the region of £188million-£239m – which could rival Neymar's £200m move to PSG in 2017 if he were to leave.
Chelsea claim second spot with Cole Palmer, whose contract is only a year shorter than Haaland's.
With Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold's contracts all expiring, their most expensive player is Ryan Gravenberch (£71m-£90m).
While Newcastle United have reportedly slapped a £150m price tag on Alexander Isak, CIES think between £70m and £89m is a more realistic sum.
Contrastingly, Rasmus Hojlund (£62m-£79m) follows in seventh, despite Manchester United looking unlikely to recoup a fair chunk of their £72m outlay on the struggling striker.
