The 2024-25 season is one that will live long in the memory of Liverpool fans as the Reds prepare to lift their 20th league title following a remarkable first season under Arne Slot.
Having gone on a 26 match unbeaten run between September to April, the Reds developed such a large gap between themselves and the rest of the chasing pack at the top of the table that it quickly became a matter of "when", not "if", they would win the Premier League.
With Liverpool all but certain to be crowned Premier League winners with a month to spare, Liverpool.com takes a look at some of the earliest top flight title wins on record as Anfield prepares to add yet another piece of silverware to its prestigious trophy cabinet.
Earliest Premier League title wins by date
Unfortunately for Liverpool, it has missed the boat to secure the earliest ever Premier League title by date after failing to wrap things up before April 14, a record painstakingly held by Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United following its success in the 2000–01 season.
Should the Reds still need to get the job done against Tottenham on Sunday (April 27), however, then they will not make the top four for earliest title wins by date.
The second earliest Premier League title triumph is held by Manchester City following its 2017/18 success, which was confirmed on April 18
This is followed by Man United (April 22) in both 2000 and 2013, with Arsenal (April 25) propping up the list with their title win in 2004.
Earliest Premier League title wins by date:
14 April – Manchester United (2001)
