Eddie Howe has raised questions about whether Liverpool's recent victory against Newcastle United will have any bearing on the upcoming Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
With Newcastle eyeing its first piece of silverware in over 50 years, the match served as a prelude to the much-anticipated final on March 16.
Isak was ruled out of the game due to a groin injury, but Howe calmed fears about a possible extended absence at Wembley.
We certainly hope he will be back for the final, we don't envisage it as a big thing."
In the aftermath, Howe pondered the potential impact of the loss on the Wembley encounter: "I don't know.
I am sure there will be things we look at and they look at.
"Analyzing this game will help us for the final but then Liverpool will say exactly the same as well.
