Eddie Howe has provided an update on Newcastle United star Alexander Isak amid fears he could miss the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
The Swede was on target for the Magpies during their FA Cup exit to Brighton & Hove Albion but limped off late on.
The Newcastle talisman has been instrumental in the success under Howe with 19 goals in the Premier League this term.
However, he missed the midweek defeat to the Reds at Anfield with an issue which proved a boost for Arne Slot's side.
Anthony Gordon was sent off for an off-the-ball incident, which could see him miss the Carabao Cup final should Newcastle lose or opt against appealing the dismissal.

Howe revealed that Isak's premature exit from the FA Cup tie was as a precaution after the striker felt "tightness".
He said: "[Alexander] Isak had some tightness in his body, but not an injury.
We had a small squad, we couldn't get Sven [Botman] fit and we can't afford to lose anyone else."
Lewis Hall missed the defeat to Brighton while Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles missed out.
For Newcastle, they travel to West Ham United on Monday before returning to the capital six days later.
