Liverpool are the new Premier League champions, confirming their status on Sunday afternoon against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

It makes perfect sense that the Premier League's most prolific team finds themselves linked with the Premier League's most prolific striker, excluding winger Mohamed Salah.

According to The Guardian Chelsea are frontrunners having a good relationship with the Spaniard's representatives, who also helped Moises Caicedo join the Blues ahead of Liverpool two years ago, but the newly-crowned champions will not go down without a fight.

Sky Sports has claimed Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all have eyes on Huijsen's teammate at left-back, Milos Kerkez, amid an excellent season with Bournemouth.

But over the months the Reds' interest has been reported on most strongly, with Slot changing between 31-year-old Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas throughout the season.

Kerkez, 21, is believed to be priced at £45m and was signed for the Cherries by now-Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes in 2023.

After 18 months on loan the Dutch international moved to RB Leipzig permanently for £42m, though the Bundesliga side could make this an exercise in profit-earning whilst granting the player's wish to take his next step, as per Fabrizio Romano.

German publication BILD has also explained how Red Bull bosses, no doubt also including Jurgen Klopp, are looking to slash the club's wage bill this summer.

So Simons would appear likely to move based on this evidence and at a touted £64m is supposedly catching the attention of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Slot could seek out a familiar face according to Record in Portugal, which claims the Reds could sign Turkish midfielder Orkun Kokcu.

The 24-year-old, said to have been scouted, has 11 goals and seven assists for Benfica this term.

He was formerly a favourite of the current Liverpool head coach when the pair were at Feyenoord, the midfielder making 96 appearances under his former boss.

Tuttosport has named Liverpool alongside Manchester City as interested in Juventus talent Andrea Cambiaso.

This comes amid uncertainty over Trent Alexander-Arnold's future with the boyhood Red yet to sign a contract extension beyond the end of his current deal this summer.
