After a strong first season under Arne Slot which has Liverpool close to winning the Premier League title, the Merseyside club is reportedly preparing for what could be their most significant transfer window in recent years.

Multiple reports suggest that Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are planning a major squad overhaul this summer to address several weaknesses that have been highlighted in cup competitions.

The Premier League has officially announced the dates for the summer 2025 transfer window, which will run from June 1-10 for a special registration period related to the FIFA Club World Cup, before reopening on June 16 and closing on September 11.

And while incomings have been discussed, it seems that outgoings are also going to be a big topic this summer.

Jarell Quansah has emerged as a focal point of potential outgoings, with six clubs across Europe vying for the 22-year-old’s signature.

Quansah, who has oscillated between center-back and right-back roles this season, has made 56 first-team appearances since his 2023 breakthrough.

Despite this, the Warrington-born defender has started just two Premier League matches under Slot since December.

This limited playing time has fueled speculation about his future, with CaughtOffside revealing interest from Newcastle United, Brentford, Bournemouth, Everton, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Dortmund.

The most eyebrow-raising suitor remains local rivals Everton.

Liverpool’s asking price for Quansah is only €35m according to the report, which seems on the low side for a player with so much potential.

A sale of the 22-year-old could fund a marquee Dean Huijsen signing.

Slot has publicly praised the defender’s mentality and growth since substituting him in August’s opener at Ipswich.

Financial incentives are undeniable.

As a homegrown player, any transfer fee would count as pure profit under Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.

However, selling to Everton would break a 23-year taboo, with the clubs last conducting direct business in 2002 via Abel Xavier’s move.

Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund present less contentious options.

Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen sees Quansah as a cost-effective replacement for Jonathan Tah, while Dortmund views him as a long-term successor to Mats Hummels.

Serie A leaders Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in the defender.
