David Moyes has confirmed that Everton's star man Iliman Ndiaye suffered what appears to be a serious injury during the frenetic Wednesday night Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
The Senegal international trudged down the tunnel, overwhelmed with emotion in an unfortunate incident after a challenge by Dominik Szoboszlai caused him to seemingly kick the ground during the first half.
In his press briefing, Moyes shared the news that Ndiaye has damaged his medial ligaments, ruling him out for the upcoming fixtures - at least against Crystal Palace, Manchester United on 22 February, and the following match at Brentford on 26 February.

This development is a significant blow to a squad already beleaguered with injuries, as they are without key figures.
To add insult to injury, Everton will also miss Abdoulaye Doucoure in their next game due to his red card post the Liverpool draw for clashing with Curtis Jones.
Referee Michael Oliver also showed red cards to Liverpool boss Arne Slot and assistant Sipke Hulshoff and Moyes offered some sympathy for his counterpart.
