A former colleague of Jurgen Klopp believes Ruben Amorim could be the ideal match for Manchester United, predicting that the ex-Sporting CP boss could usher in a new era of success at Old Trafford.
Vitor Matos spent five years working with Klopp at Liverpool and is now the assistant coach at Red Bull Salzburg under another Klopp alumnus, Pep Lijnders.
The 36-year-old has praised Amorim's achievements in Portugal in an interview with O JOGO where he claimed that Amorim will prove to be a success in England.
"I think Ruben is perfect for the Premier League and for United," said Matos.
"I believe that, just as he did at Sporting, he'll create a strong game identity, he'll bring freshness to the Premier League and he'll make United thirsty for titles.
He can create a long-term project that will bring the stability that the club and its fans are used to."

Amorim is set to experience his first Premier League game this Sunday when his side, currently sitting in 13th in the league table after only securing four wins from their first eleven matches, face off against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Over a span of just over four years, he's led the team to two Primeira Liga titles and two Taca da Liga – Portugal's equivalent to the League Cup.
He's also turned Sporting into a side known for its tactical intricacy and defensive solidity, with a clear philosophy on the pitch something that's been missing at United for some time, reports the Mirror.

This season, Amorim not only orchestrated a stunning 4-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League but also maintained a flawless domestic record after Sporting racked up 11 league consecutive wins to kick off the 2024/25 campaign.
Meanwhile, over in Austria, Matos and Lijnders have had a slower start.
Salzburg, who were runners-up in the Austrian Bundesliga last term, have secured just five wins from their first 11 league matches and sit fourth in the standings.
Yet, they hold two games in hand over their competitors, and victories in both could propel them past Austria Wien into third place.
