Liverpool have clinched their second Premier League title in five years, this time with Arne Slot at the helm.
Their previous triumph was under Jurgen Klopp's management, with then-midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri facing harsh criticism following the historic victory.
Shaqiri was hugely successful with the Reds, winning the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup during his time at the club.
However, the winger was told that he played a "disheartening" role in the 2020 Premier League win by his fellow countryman and former coach, Arno Rossini.
The former FC Sion manager told Swiss outlet Tio that Shaqiri was merely a spectator during Liverpool's successful campaign - and also noted that this is a pattern in the footballer's career.

Rossini said in 2020: "Xherdan is not a champion.
This, taking everything into account, makes me think that the Swiss is not one who always gives his best.

"If not as owner, at least one important reserve role, from first choice on the bench, (he) would otherwise have managed to carve it (a place in the team) out.
However, his impact was limited, with only 63 appearances over three seasons, eight goals scored, and nine assists.
The 33-year-old has been hugely successful across his domestic career, winning multiple trophies with Liverpool, Bayern Munich and FC Basel.

During his time in Germany, Shaqiri won three Bundesliga titles, one Champions League title, two DFB-Pokals and one DFL-Supercup.
Recently, Shaqiri moved back to FC Basel, a club where he won three Swiss championships and a couple of domestic cups at the beginning of his career.

Despite some serious domestic success, it is Shaqiri's international career that will continue to stand out in Switzerland's history.
